Tour Intro

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Cochin - Munnar

Today arrival at Kochi International Airport, meet out company representative and drive to Munnar hills (130 kms / 4 hrs). Enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. On arrival check in to the Hotel and relax. Overnight at Hotel in Munnar

Day 02: In Munnar

This morning after breakfast proceed to sightseeing of Munnar which includes Mattuppetty, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothenmedu, etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight at hotel in Munnar

Day 03: Munnar - Thekkady

Post breakfast check out form hotel and drive to Thekkady (Periyar) covering a distance of 110 kms / 3.5 hrs through cardamom hills. Upon arrival check into the Resort. After lunch visits spice plantations like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, tea estate, etc… On the way back to the hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight at hotel in Thekkady (Periyar)

Day 04: Thekkady – Alleppey (Houseboat)

Today morning after breakfast heck out form hotel and drive to Alleppey, Known as the Venice of the East. On arrival check into a Traditional Houseboat of Kerala Style and cruise through the backwaters is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters. Stay overnight in Houseboat.

Day 05: Alleppey – Cochin

Today morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Cochin, on arrival check in to the hotel. Afternoon Wonderla Amusement Park, LuLu Mall, Kerala Folklore Museum, Jew Town, Chottanikkara Temple, Kathakali Dance and local traditional markets. Back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Cochin.

Day 06: Departure

The morning after breakfast transfer to Cochin Airport for the onward Journey.
